Weigel will be Ordained as Deacon Saturday
A member of Immaculate Conception Parish in East Aurora will be among three men ordained in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Buffalo on Sat., May 29, at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Cathedral, 50 Franklin St., Buffalo. Through the imposition of hands by Bishop of Buffalo Edward U. Kmiec, and the invocation of the Holy Spirit, these men will become permanent deacons, joining 125 other deacons in the diocese.

Local trio is still alive in state tournament
The Wood-Ridge, Immaculate Conception and Saddle Brook high school softball teams are still alive after the first week of the state tournament. Immaculate Conception did not have to play a game as it received a bye in the first round of the Non-Public North B state sectional.
