Could the conception calculator be wrong?

Yesterday I was looking around online...I am supposedly 38 weeks pregnant...but according to the conception calculator with my last period being November 29th my due date should be September 5th. That was the first due date my doctor gave me...where as now he is saying September 14th. That would have made my last period December 8th. My last period was November 29th though...what is more correct? It rattles my brain trying to figure it out...because I have been contracting! Not close enough for hospital yet!

The standard is to count 40 weeks from the start date of your last period.
Your new week would start each Tuesday (Nov 29th was a tues) Which would make you 39 weeks now and due (40 weeks) on this Tuesday the 5th.
I'm not sure why you were given a different date. Unless November 29th was the date of the 'end' of your period or something like that. Or if he was counting from your conception date... but if he was it'd only be a 38 wk pregnancy so it should've been the 5th anyway. I don't know, that doesn't make sense either way lol.
But I think the 5th is the most accurate and what most doctors would go by.
So... those contractions are probably right on schedule. Either way it's only a week's difference and babies come out when they want. Seldom on their actual due date.
