My husband and I have been married since Dec. 2005 and have been dating since 2001. We both will be 21 in March and May.
I have been wanting to have a baby since we have gotten married and he knows it. We talked about it a couple of weeks ago and he said that he wants one.We both want to get pregnant in June or July so that the baby is born in Spring of next year. Spring next year why? Because of our beliefs (we are heathens) and everything is born in the spring.
Since we have had that talk we have been using protection and I feel like he didn't take that talk very seriously. He knows I don't want him to use protection.
My questions are: Should we start trying now since its hard for some people to get pregnant ? Or should I just wait until June/July? What should I tell him when june/july comes and he is still using protection?
My question to you guys: Is he messing with my head about wanting a family?
Sorry so many questions!!
It often takes people time to get pregnant. We took about 5 months. You only have a 25% chance of conceiving if you are trying in any given month. However, if you start now, you have the chance of getting pregnant the first month. When it comes to your husband, you really can't tell until June/July comes. No way to read his mind, sorry.

getting a period while on the pill is bleeding caused by the withdrawal of the hormones in the pill. But if you get pregnant while you are on the pill, would you still get a pill period at the end of your pill cycle, or would the hormones produced by pregnancy substitute the ones from the pill and prevent the pill period?
I got pregnant while on the pill... i missed my period completely... well actually the day before i usually would start to bleed i actually bled and cramped for like only 20 mins. I think it was implantation bleeding looking back.
I think everyone is different tho... some women might get it still but others might not.
I did not get it. And knew that only a 20 min bleed there was something up. I tested the next day and it was positive.

In a virtuosic return to form, Martin Amis revisits the sex-fueled material of his early career such as THE RACHEL PAPERS, DEAD BABIES, and SUCCESS. The political concerns of his recent writing have been, for the most part, jettisoned, and Amis`s famously prodigal prose devotes itself instead to the specific human experience of coming-of-age in the sexually liberated era of the 1970s. The protagonist of the novel, Keith Nearing, is a 20-year-old literary soul aspiring to be a libertine during a summer vacation with a group of friends at an Italian castle. Despite the new freedom of the age and Keith`s witty quips on literature and lust, sex is trickier in practice than in theory, and he finds his desires bent and twisted by the newly empowered bathing beauties tanning themselves poolside at the castle. In the novel`s inspired coda, Amis fast-forwards through the decades after the erotic summer, and shows how the aftereffects of moral revolution rippled out through his characters` lives. An admittedly autobiographical work, THE PREGNANT WIDOW vividly captures the hedonistic fevers of youth in the post-pill, pre-AIDS world, and also depicts those who burned up in its ravishing heat. Keith is damaged by his experiences, but his sister Violet--a clear stand-in for Amis`s own sister--dies from drink and dissolution. Comic, debauched, erudite, and ill-behaved--these are well-known early Amis traits, but THE PREGNANT WIDOW adds a melancholic wisdom to the mix, re-imagining the stories of his youth though the dark glass of time. Selected by Publishers Weekly as a 2010 Top 10 Book.

I've just started having diarrhea a few hours ago, but before that I had to goto the bathroom alot, having frequent bowel movements. Also, for the past 2 nights I have woken up with a really sore back, in my upper back its constant pain, in my lower back it comes and goes... I'm not sure if it's a sign of labor or not but it's worrying me. This might be tmi, and I'm sorry for that but I also have had this white, creamy discharge, and it's ALOT! Earlier this morning it was watery, now it's getting mroe thick... I have had my fair trips to labor and delivery and I don't want to go up again if it's nothing major. But my next doctors appt with my ob isn't till the 11th... So please help me out, and let me know what I should do?
Its probably nothing. I started having alot of backpain to the point where I couldnt sleep or walk anymore, also lost my mucus plug at 34 weeks and had contractions from 32 weeks until the end. I thought I was gonna have my baby early for sure, not so much, went 2 weeks overdue and had to be induced. I wouldnt worry too much unless the pain turns into contractions and is less then 10 min apart or you start leaking fluid. Best of luck to you.

After studying yoga in India and traveling all over the world with traditional Vedantic masters, Steve Ross returned to his hometown of Los Angeles with a broadened point of view of what yoga could be. He was surprised to find that yoga classes at home were missing the humor, joy, and celebration that fueled his Eastern studies. Instead of expanding and enhancing the joy of being, Western yoga classes focused obsessively on correcting body positions and developing a picture-perfect physique. Determined to keep his yoga practice true to cultivating bliss and inner radiance, Ross started his own yoga studio and has created a yoga movement in Los Angeles that is, to put it simply, revolutionary. Ross lives and teaches according to his belief that the secret to yoga is not obsessing over whether your feet are parallel or whether you can bend as far as the person on your left can, but about transcending the serious and allowing joy into your life, your body, your mind, and hopefully your yoga practice itself. It`s about lightening up. In Happy Yoga, Ross reveals that everyone is inherently happy, but that our true self is shadowed and concealed by the layers of worry that, through habit, become our daily thoughts. In each chapter, he examines one of our seven greatest human fears -- depression, ill health, loss of love, career failure, war, death, and emotional stasis -- and uses yoga wisdom to explain how to strip away these worries to reach your core of calm radiant joy. By sharing his system of yoga postures, diet, meditation, music, supplements, and philosophy, Ross has effected profound physical and mental changes in both his life and the lives of his students. Ross`s power is that he goes back to the source -- five thousand years of ancient yogic wisdom -- and decodes the abstract Eastern ideas for a Western audience. Happy Yoga is not just a set of movements and facts to consume, it is a way of shifting your awareness to bring the sp
Yoga, with its emphasis on body awareness, breathing, and relaxation, is helping growing numbers of pregnant women adjust to the physical and mental demands of labor, birth, and motherhood. A sparkling new series introducing five unforgettable women who flock to yoga at turning points in their lives and find the gift of lasting friendship. The yoga studio is where daily cares are set aside, mats are unfurled, and physical exertion leads to well-being, renewal, and friendship. An aggressively expanding chain of Los Angeles yoga "experience centers," has Lee and her extraordinary teaching abilities in its sights. They woo her with a lucrative contract, a trademarked name for her classes, and a place for her handsome musician husband. But accepting the contract means abandoning the students at the homey studio Lee runs in L.A.`s Silver Lake district- and leaving behind four women whose friendships are suddenly more important to her than retirement benefits and a salary increase. Tales from the Yoga Studio is an insider`s look at the current obsession with yoga, told with enough humor, wit, and warmth to charm and delight readers, whether or not they`ve ever done a Downward Dog.

how long does it take to get pregnancy disability?
my wife works at a casino and she will soon be fired for not having enough vacation time.....the FMLA or family medical leave act the federal govt. forces california casinos to give is only 12 weeks and wont be enough so in short she will be fired ! and go on pregnancy disability and we need to know how long it takes before a check comes in . I bet there arent any lawyers who are willing to stand up to this type of injustice the Indian casinos put upon women in the USA ! can you believe the casino asked my wife to go back to the doctor so they can change her medical excuse and remove the words " minimise exposure to smoke " isnt that unethecal ?
Why wouldn't 12 weeks be enough of a maternity leave?? I had a c-section and the doctor told me I could go back anywhere from 6-8 weeks after delivery.. What would your wife need more than 12 weeks for?
In November 2008 Patricia Cori was in Jordan teaching a workshop on the threats to planetary ecology when a life-changing event occurred. A community of Cetaceans—“a choir of whales and dolphins,” as she describes it—interrupted her talk with a frantic plea for help. Cori could suddenly see a devastating scene of suffering, a collective grieving of scores of whales and dolphins “frenzied, lost, and dying.” This was the first of numerous contacts, many of them followed, she would learn, by mass suicides. This terrifying incident was also a dramatic call for change. In this moving book, Cori explains the immense potential for human beings to save these majestic creatures and, in the process, save ourselves and our world. For the first time, we read the communications of the Cetaceans, their story of devotion and love for the planet and for all of life. The message is clear: We must realize that our global behavior is altering the course of Gaia’s progression to the next dimension. Without the music of these species—without the whale and dolphin song—we face a dire future in which our destined higher consciousness cannot materialize. Before We Leave You is a roadmap to that higher future—if we act now.The book includes eighteen exquisite, full-color detachable Cetacean meditation cards as well as Cori`s explanation for how the cards can be used.

I'm 27 weeks along with my pregnancy and already experiencing complications including MTHFR, bleeding problems and awful morning sickness (I was losing weight rather than gaining it with how bad my morning sickness was). At week 25, I was diagnosed with partial placenta previa. My doctor has already advised me to abstain from intercourse and other strenuous activities; I'm a little worried I may be put on bedrest, and even worse - having a repeat Cesarean (I had one in 2006 when I had my daughter due to her being in breech). I had my heart set on VBAC, but it's looking more and more like that may not happen... What is the likelihood of the placenta growing away from my cervix this late in the pregnancy? Do you think my doctor will put me on bedrest? Will I be able to attempt VBAC? I've read horror story after horror story online and in books. I'm really nervous for my and my son's health...
I am just shy of 15 weeks. I was diagnosed with partial previa last week. I had slight spotting which has stopped. I am also concerned with the possible bed rest that I may have to go onto if it does not resolve.
You are still 13 weeks away. You may still be able to attempt vaginal birth. I suggest not reading horror stories. As you know you see more of unsuccessful or traumatic cases than the okay ones on the internet. My OB nurse said that it is not as bad as it may sound.
Do take care of yourself and not worry.
The phenomenon of bleeding has been shown to appear in up to 22% of all pregnancies and is associated with significant maternal and fetal morbidities, and even mortality. Although vaginal bleeding occurs mainly during the first trimester, it can appear at any stage of pregnancy and in the postpartum period. This sometimes life-threatening event requires an extensive work-up in order to recognize its cause and establish a rapid and effective therapeutic approach. This book is a comprehensive appraisal of this critical condition. It draws on evidence-based data and brings together, in a single volume, updated information on all aspects of pregnancy-related bleeding. A global group of interdisciplinary experts contributed chapters on: bleeding during early pregnancy (early pregnancy loss, ectopic pregnancy, gestational trophoblastic disease, and cancer of the reproductive tract during pregnancy); bleeding in late pregnancy (preterm delivery, placental abruption, placenta previa, vasa previa and uterine rupture); and postpartum hemorrhage.
Exercises in THE PILATES PREGNANCY are designed to make the time before, during, and after pregnancy easier and more comfortable. The book is divided into exercises that vary with each trimester, to respond to changes in a woman's body during pregnancy.
