How do you let family you rarely see know you are expecting a new baby?
My father’s family I rarely see, I see them maybe once a year. They live several hours away and we are not a close family. I don’t want to call all of them since my grandpa married a woman with a VERY large family and I don’t even know most of their names! I am comfortable talking to my grandpa since he is the only one I know in the family, so I could call and let him know.
So how do I go about telling them my wife is pregnant?
Do I wait until she is like 6-7 months along in her pregnancy and then send out cards to the family I have addresses for?
Do I let some people know (like my grandparents) and let the word spread?

i would tell your grandparents and then let them spread the word! once the baby is born, you can send out announcements to all of them. but i would let the grandparents tell them... that way you don't have to deal with it and they'll probably be happy/excited to spread the word!

They make maternity belts that they sell at Babys R us, they run about 15 dollars and it saved my back during my last pregnancy. Mine was velcro so you could adjust it whenever you need to. It worked wonders for me, so I would definately invest in one ASAP!!! As far as preventing it I wish I could help on that one!!

I'm 13weeks pregnant & these last 2weeks the sickness has really escalated to the point where yesterday & today it was hard to keep even water down & I think I'm starting to show signs of dehydration, sore, dizzy head, my pee is very dark (too much info, sorry) etc..
Should I ring the doctor tomorrow morning & ask for an appointment? It's just usually that you can't get one for a few days, should I push them for one that day?
I would give them a ring and pop down there yes. It's not good when you're dehydrated, although in earlyish pregnancy it can be hard for people to even want to drink water, I know I couldn't and I got the same symptoms. My blood pressure went really low too and I was nearly falling over. My husband made me sit down and drink loads of water slowly, I did and sure enough I picked right up again, but if it's hard for you to keep the water down then just go to the docs and I'm sure they'll be able to help you. Anytime you think you can keep some down though just try it. You'll be fine and I'm sure you'll be out of the worst of it soon, by 15 weeks I started to feel myself again. Good luck hun. x
