When you are most fertile, your cervical mucus will be very stretchy and have the consistency of egg whites. If you get some between your thumb and forefinger, you can stretch it several inches. Be careful not to confuse cervical mucus (the stuff that's there all the time) with arousal fluid (the stuff that's there when you're aroused) as arousal fluid is also stretchy and like an egg white.
