Hello everyone. This is my first pregnancy and I'm 7 months right now. I'm taking a free breastfeeding class and I have that all scheduled right now. My problem is that I don't know if I'll be able to take a CHILD BIRTH CLASS because of my schedule and I'm in the process of getting new transportation. Has anyone taken these classes and found them to really help while having your first child? Are there any videos I can get instead of actually going to a class? If so, where can I get them. I'm fully informed as of now as far as caring for a child, but do the classes really help with the actual birth or would it make a difference if I just wing it lol. Thanks so much for any advice.
I wouldn't take the class. Your nurses will help you and tell you how to breathe and push, even if you have had the classes. I never took them, and my nurse was so sweet and helpful. My friend took the classes, and her nurse kept telling her how to breathe and push anyway. It's up to you, but you will still be JUST FINE if you don't take them! =)
