Please help! Had a vaginal ultrasound today and they detected yolk sac but no fetal pole....?
the sonographer said that what she was seeing on the screen was similar to a woman who is only around 5 weeks pregnant but i KNOW my period was longer ago than this. I worked it out to be at LEAST 6 weeks by now. If not 6.5 weeks. I have another ultrasound in 12 days but the wait is going to kill me. Im so scared and upset that this pregnancy could not be viable, so far the only thing they have managed to rule out is that its not an ectopic pregnancy.
Any advice would be great.

Oh and I should add that my HCG levels rose over a 48 hour period by almost 66% (the recommended level) but not quite....
the thing thats concerning is that my HCG levels were over 3000 on my last blood test and usually over 2000 there should be a fetal pole on the ultrasound....
That is exactly what happened to me -- I went in at what I thought was six weeks to rule out an ectopic pregnancy, they saw a yolk sack but no fetal pole. The Dr. said it was either non viable or I had actually ovulated a week later than expected. That option made sense, since I usually have a 35 day cycle. Sure enough, my Hcg levels were doubling and when I went in for an ultrasound a week later, the baby was showing. I am now 22 weeks, and my baby has measured that far along consistently. According to my last period, I should be 23. Some women don't ovulate exactly 14 days after the start of their last period. Try not to freak out, it is very possible that everything is fine! I know exactly how you feel, though, it was a long week to wait. Good luck!

Can I be pregnant with bleeding and a negative test?
I am 32 and have 2 children. This month, a week before my period was due, my breasts became very tender. After a few days I got montgomery's bumps on my breasts and started to have nausea and cramping. After a week I started having a metallic taste in my mouth and have been very fatigued. Compared to my previous pregnancies, this has felt very similar. In fact, I would swear I was pregnant. Yesterday, 4 days late, my period began. However, my period was very light with dark brown blood. It had stopped by this morning and then started again later in the day, a little heavier now. Normally my periods are very heavy from the very beginning and never stop. My breasts are still very tender and I am still nauseated. I am still bleeding. As all of my tests have come back negative, is it possible that I'm pregnant? Or am I just having a weird late period?
No, I don't think you're pregnant even though you are having all those pregnancy like symptoms. I had the same thing last month and I would have put money on that I was pregnant, but 2 days late my periods came. You may have been pregnant briefly and the egg didn't stick but it sounds like a weird period. Good Luck
